The aim of the project is to transfer and develop the Spanish ADVET employment model to the participating countries. Dual VET program (ADVET) is a professional control method developed in Spain in the Balearic Islands in 2015. It was developed to support and help people with intellectual disabilities to get their own jobs and tasks corresponding to their abilities and skills.
The aim of the project is to adopt the ADVET model and to develop it into a coherent one that fits the rest of Europe, easily customizable a model that supports the hard-to-employ. The aim of the project is to test the model, develop it into a suitable version for its own country and develop a network that markets the model. The aim is also to create a website with instructions and a plan, according to which the model can be utilised.
The project includes participation countries in project trips during which the participants in the project train as trainers of ADVETmodel. In addition, during the project, a few students will be admitted to Spain to train and try out the model.
Goals:
To establish a European cooperation partnership to transfer the ADVET to other European regions and to develop a common implementation framework:
1) Share the ADVET model at European level
2) Develop a common European methodological framework
3) Develop and test a training program for experts in ADVET implementation
4) Create a European network of practices about ADVET
Target groups:
Direct: Training personnel of the partners, Other professionals of the partner entities, Responsible for the training teams and departments of the partners.
Indirect: Persons with intellectual disabilities of working age. Families of people with disabilities and business sector, society in general.
Activities and methodology:
1) Preparation of a Methodological Guide
2) Development of an open On-line Repository of educational and training resources
3) Preparation of a common European Curriculum of expert in ADVET implementation
4) Organization of 2 transnational training and learning activities
5) Organization of 7 multiplier events
6) Organization of 6 transnational project meetings for coordination and exchange of experiences
7) Implementation of a Plan for the communication and promotion of the objectives and results of the project
Results of the project:
1) A Methodological Guide for the implementation at European level of the ADVET for people with intellectual disabilities and special needs.
2) An open On-line Repository of educational and training resources about the ADVET, which will be used as a toolbox for the implementation of this methodology at the European level.
3) A common European Curriculum of expert in the design and implementation of ADVET for people with intellectual disabilities and special needs.
